It was a gorgeous fall morning here in Sunderland. It was the perfect day to walk to the center of town and pay tribute to our veterans and say thank you to those men and women currently serving in the military. I was so impressed with how well the students behaved during the ceremony. After the ceremony was over, we were visited in our classroom by members of the military. Besides visiting the classroom the service men and women ate lunch with the students. Some even got behind the counter and helped serve lunch to the students!
During our morning meeting the students learned a new greeting. The students learned the lumberjack greeting. It was great fun! This is a greeting Mr. B taught the teachers at our last staff meeting. Thanks Mr. B the kids loved it! Ask your child to do the lumberjack greeting with you.

Here are pictures from Monday. It's David and Anthony, the birthday boys!
