It was field day today and it was fun!! Students spent the morning outside at field day. Students rotated through six stations. There was an egg race, sponge tag, and drip, drip, splash.Drip, drip, splash is a version of duck, duck, goose. In this version though you drip water on everybody's head and instead of saying, "goose" you dump a cup of water on the person's head. My favorite game to watch (and I think a favorite of the students to play!) was the game pictured to the left. It was a race were students wore flippers and huge sweatpants and had to go down, around the cone, and back; the team who finished first won. It was so much fun to watch the students try to run with flippers on. Thank you Ms. Gebo for organizing this fun day! :)
After field day students cooled off inside with snack and a good book.
In the afternoon we celebrated the students' writing with our poetry party and ice cream sundaes. Thank you to all the parents who were able to arrange their schedule to join us for poetry, ice cream, and memories of a great year in third grade! I am so proud of all the students' writing; we have some great poets in our classroom!
Have a great evening! Remember to fill someone's bucket.
