Nature's Classroom

It was perfect weather the week we were at Nature's Classroom, sunny and cool, the perfect fall weather for camping in the woods. I am very proud of all the students who went to Nature's classroom, although there were moments of homesickness, everyone persevered and made it through the week. The week included classes such as shark dissection, frog dissection, making a hot air balloon, and learning about space and the constellations. Students also went on a hike and got the chance to cook hot dogs over a campfire.  Students participated in field groups where Nature's Classroom teachers taught them about nature. There was a night experience where students learned about night vision, bioluminescence, and how to create a spark with a wintergreen Life Saver. Of course, there was plenty of free time where students could choose an activity such as visiting the animals on the mini farm, gaga ball, going down the giant tube slide,  basketball, or climbing the rock wall. It was a great week and an experience the students will remember forever! :)
