Yesterday while I was doing small group reading I looked
around the room at the kids working independently and had one of those
wonderful teacher moments. Every single student who was not a part of my small
reading group was actively engaged in their book Freckle Juice. Students
were either engrossed in reading the book or busily answering questions about
what they had read and using evidence from the book to support their answer. It
made my heart smile. These moments happen all throughout the day, every day. It
is these small moments I have every day with your children that make me love my
job. So, thank you for sharing your child with me for the school year, so I too
can watch them grow and blossom.
