We started our Monday with some great shares from our students and even a teacher too! The Boy Scouts held their annual Pine Wood Derby this weekend, and we had a few winners in our classroom. Jason and his car Hot Mess took second place in the Bears division. Way to go! Georgia took first place in the siblings division. Mrs. Penza, who named her car in honor of Mr. Merritt, came in first place in her division. She even set a new speed record. Way to go mrs. Penza!
In reading we continued with our fairy tales, fables, myths, and folk tales. Today we discussed common themes in this genre of literature. We read fables and tried to see if we could figure out what the moral or lesson of fable was.
Georgia and Kunsang read the message they wrote for morning message. The girls included a survey in their morning message and graphed the students' responses. Nice job Georgia and Kunsang!
