Friday!

Today is Friday, which in our classroom means we have Spanish with Profe Clarita. Today in Spanish the students put their Spanish skills to the test by playing a game of Go Fish. Students had to ask for the card they needed in Spanish, this helped them practice their colors and numbers. They also had to say "thank you" and "it's your turn" in Spanish.

Today in Wrier's Workshop we took a moment to do some self reflection. Students finished their writing piece about a person that should be appreciated. After that, we had a lesson goal setting. Students used their persuasive writing checklist to find two skills they would like to focus on improving. Students wrote down their two goals and what they need to do to reach their goals. Next week when we begin a new piece of persuasive writing, students will be writing with those goals in mind.

There is a lot happening in our classroom next week. On Wednesday we have firemen visiting our classroom to talk about fire safety. Thursday we are going to the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Thursday and Friday are half days because of parent teacher conferences. I look forward to meeting with many of you at conferences.
