Tuesday

We started our day with Calendar Math and morning meeting. At morning meeting students did one of their favorite greetings, the web greeting.
The students love to try to create different shapes with the yarn. Today they thought it looked like a star. What do you think?
Part of morning meeting is the morning message. For most of the year I would write a message to the students. The message would tell the students what was happening in our classroom and the school that day. For the past few weeks students have been taking turns writing the morning message to be read at morning meeting. The students absolutely love doing this! They  students' messages include not only what is happening that day, but also fun facts and a question of the day.

In reading we learned about how making connections can help deepen our understanding of the text we are reading. We discussed three different ways readers can make connections while reading; Text to self, text to world, or text to text connections.

In science students are working on creating a poster of the water cycle.

Wednesdy our class is being visited by theIre Department for fire safety month.

Remember our class is going on a field trip to see the Pioneer Valley Symphony on Thursday.

Thursday and Friday are half days due to parent teacher conferences.

If you have not returned your child's signed report card envelope please do so as soon as possible.
Scholastic Book Orders are due Friday.

Have a great evening! Remember to fill someone's bucket!

Here are some pictures of the students' completed Cinderella Venn Diagrams.
