Magnificent Monday!

Today after school I went to the post office and mailed our fan mail to Livi. I was so impressed with how excited the students we were about this project. I really think the students' letters, drawings, and poems will help Livi feel like a star.
In Writer's Workshop we officially started our video project with Mrs. Zadworny's class. Today students found out who they will be working with, what topic they will be writing about, and started planning their writing. I am so excited about this project.

Today was the first day our class accepted donations for the care packages we will be sending to soliders stationed overseas and we are off to a great start! We have two boxes full of donations! Remember you have until Friday, May 16 the to send in your donations for this project. Thank you so much for all of your support.

We are  in need of chaperones/ drivers for our May 22nd field trip to Mount Sugarloaf. If you are able to chaperone  for this trip, please let me know. Also, there are a few spots still available for  parents to join us on the Friday, June 13th field trip to The Pequot Museum and Mystic Aquarium.

Remember tomorrow is our first day of the math MCAS test. Please be sure your child gets a good night's sleep, eats breakfast, and arrives to school on time.

Have a great evening! Remember to fill someone's bucket today.
