Thursday, May 8th

Today in computer class Mrs. Kidder taught the kids how to edit movies with IMovie on the I-pad. Students learned how to stitch together videos, add sound effects, and music to their videos. Students will use this skills as they work in groups to create a video that goes along with their persuasive speech.

Mrs. Kidder shows Kirsten, Matthew, and Bianca how to use IMovie

                                           Students practice editing their movies

In reading students continued reading Romona Quimby, Age 8. As students complete each chapter that complete a comprehension activity that uses one of the comprehension skills that we learned this year.

                                          Matthew looks deep in thought

In math we have started a unit on time. Students reviewed telling time to the half hour and quarter hour, in five minute intervals, and to the nearest minutes. Students will be learning about elapsed time in this unit.

Our donation drive to create care packages for soldiers over seas is going great! Thank you to everyone who has sent in donations. Remember that you have until this Friday, May 16th to send in donations.
