Happy Monday! I hope that everyone got outside and enjoyed some  of our gorgeous, summer like weather this weekend. I spent some time outside playing soccer with Trey. I hope all the moms enjoyed their special day with those they love the most. 

Today, in Writer's Worksop students researched and took notes  for their persuasive writing speech.  In reading students continued with their Romona Quimby book. Those students who are finished reading Romona Quimby, Age 8 got to do one of their favorite things, buddy read. We will be starting a poetry unit, where students will be reading and writing poetry. I am excited about this upcoming unit, it should be fun.

In math we continued our unit on time. In science we will be starting a new unit on simple machines. 

It was another beautiful summer like day and our class was treated to Popsicles by Abby! Thank you so much Abby! It was nice to take a break, sit outside under the shade of a tree, and enjoy a cool treat.

David brought in his Ant Farm to share with the class and the students were just amazed by it. Thanks for sharing David!
