We only have two more weeks of school, but I feel like we still have so much left to squeeze in before the year ends. I keep thinking I can sneak on an extra week or two and maybe no one will notice. It was a busy week in 3f. Students worked on completing the filming of the persuasive video and began focusing more on the editing. Students stitched different videos together, decided whether or not they wanted music or special effects in their video, and rerecorded any parts that they did not like. I am so proud of how hard the students have been working on this project. Students not only learned about persuasive writing, how to record and edit on the IPad; they learned how to work in a group with many who may have different opinions and ideas than themselves. What a great life lesson! Remember that parents are invited in on Thursday, June 12th at 8:45 in the media center to watch these amazing videos. (This should be about a 25 to 30 minute presentation.) I hope to see you there!
The strings/band concert was this week. I am so proud of how well the third grade strings players did! They have grown so much in ability since the beginning of the school year.
Some of our strings players treated the class to a sneak peek of the concert at the end of the day Monday! Nice job!

In math we have been reviewing multiplication. We reviewed two digit by one digit multiplication, three digit by one digit multiplication, and we even started learning two digit by two digit multiplication. The students have been working hard in math this week!
Don't forget Tuesday is Jr. Olympics for third grade students. Your child should wear a t-shirt with their team color on it. ( Your child should know what color team they are on.) Please be sure to apply sunscreen to your child before school and send them with plenty to drink.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Remember to fill someone's bucket!
