Yay! I am finally up to date with the blog. I will keep my promise and post to the blog at least once a week from now and until the end of the school year. :)
Yay! Today was the last day of MCAS testing for third grade! :) Today students finished up the math MCAS test. I am very proud of how hard the students worked on the tests.
Another reason to celebrate is that the students have earned all of their drops in the bucket. We will be having a "Drop in the Bucket" party on Friday, May 29th. I will be sending home a letter about this next week. A little sneak peak...the kiddos' day will include extra recess and a pizza party.
After MCAS testing both third grade classes helped out Nurse Jeannie with a special project. Nurse Jeannie gave the students informational material to read about ticks. The students worked with a partner to create informational posters about ticks. Information included on the posters: types of ticks, how to prevent ticks, and what to do if you find a tick on you. Nurse Jeannie will laminate the posters. The posters will be placed by the softball field, the town soccer fields, and the playground. Be on the lookout for these very informative posters! What a great way for the students to help out the community.
I can't believe how close it is to the end of the school year. There are many special events that are taking place between now and the end of the school year. I will be sending home a newsletter on Monday with a list of important dates and happenings. Be sure to check your child's backpack for it Monday!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)
Thank yo to all the parents who sent in snack for MCAS. I appreciate all your help! :)
Here are a few pictures of the students working on their tick posters.
