Natasha Lowe

Local author Natasha Lowe will be coming to our school on Thursday, February 4th. She will be hosting a book talk for students in grades second through sixth. The author talk for grades five and six will be from 11:15 to 12:15. Students can purchase her books, The Power of Poppy Pendle and The Courage of Cat Campbell and have them autographed by Ms. Lowe. An order form to purchase books was sent home with your child on Friday. Also, your child has a chance to win going to mid-morning tea with Ms. Lowe. Students in fifth grade need to read a minimum of 400 hundred minutes over the next two weeks in order to have their name entered into the drawing to win having tea with author Natasha Lowe. A special reading log for this contest came home with your child on Friday. If you would like to learn more about Natasha Lowe or her books please check out her website.

I am very excited about Natasha Lowe's visit to our school! I think it will be a great chance for the students to hear what a published author does when they are in the writing process. :)

Enjoy your day off! See everyone tomorrow morning!
