It was another great day in third grade!

Morning meeting started the day off right with the question, "Did you know?"
Students greeted each with a fact about themselves that other students in the classroom might not know. For example, I learned Bianca was in a horse show this weekend, Georgia watched a monster truck show, and Jason's favorite sport is hockey. It is good to learn more about our friends and morning meeting is a great place to do it.

This afternoon we had our first fire drill and 3F did a fantastic job!

When the fire drill was over I introduced a tool that we will use throughout the year. It is known as a plus/delta chart. This is a tool for self reflection and goal setting. It lets you think about what you did really well and what you need to improve for next time. As a class we completed a plus/delta chart for how our class did in the fire drill. The students were able to name things our class did well, and things our class can improve the next fire drill. As class we picked two things we want to do better in our next fire drill.

We also created our second rule for our class.

3F's Classroom Rules

1. Show respect for everyone.
2. Take care of classroom materials.

Remember to fill someone's bucket today! :)
