It was a Wonderful Wednesday!

Our day started with our school community coming together in a school wide assembly. It was a great way to share goals and expectations about our new school year. We also took time to celebrate the positive behavior that students have been showing these past few days of the new school year.
Our morning meeting focused on building community and friendship within our own classroom. The greeting this morning was “What’s the word?” In this greeting students share one word to describe how they are feeling at that moment. This meeting happened after PE so quite a few students were feeling hot, thirsty, and tired.
We officially launched Writer’s Workshop in our classroom today! Students were given a writer’s notebook that they will be writing in throughout the year. As a class we talked about what kinds of things a good writer would do in their notebook. Students also reflected on what they would like to improve in their writing and wrote a goal for writer’s workshop.
If you have not returned the beginning of the school year paperwork please return it by this Friday, September 6th.

Remember to fill someone’s bucket today!
