Cookies!

Friday was the day the kids were waiting for; we made cookies and decorated them with our kindergarten buddies in Ms. Antes' class. It was a great time! I love watching our third graders with their kindergarten buddy. They do such a great job of taking on the part of role model and helper to their kindergarten buddy. I am so proud of them!

In Writer's Workshop the students have started writing the final draft of their informational writing. They are adding finishing touches such as pictures, captions, and diagrams. This past week students met with a partner to share their informational writing. Their partner helped by looking at their writing through the eyes of a reader, looking for parts that were confusing and needed to be clarified. The students did a great job giving their partner great suggestions.

Report cards were sent home on Friday. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's report card please contact me so we can discuss your concerns. Please remember to sign your child's report card and return it to school as soon as possible. Thank you.

I will not be in school this Tuesday or Wednesday. I will be attending a conference so I can learn ways to help your child learn better. 

Remember the Winter Concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 17th at 9:45. Unfortunately, I will not be there. I am very disappointed about this. I was looking forward to hearing all of the strings students and all of the third graders on the recorder. Please be sure your child brings their recorder to school with them on Wednesday.

A fun run is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17th at 2:00. (Weather permitting)

Remember, Friday, December 19th is out drop in the bucket party.
